Tamolitch Blue Pool, Oregon, United States

There is a wonderfully uncommon outdoor locale in the state of Oregon that has been christened the Tamolitch Blue Pool.
This natural lagoon was created by the McKenzie River when it was once a waterfall.
At some point, the river changed its course and went underground. As a result, the falls it once helped create run completely dry for a good portion of the year.
Surrounded with high green forest and nine meters (30 feet) of clear topaz blue river water makes this unusual waterfall lagoon a perfect getaway destination.
The dried waterfall also offers those brave enough to make the attempt an opportunity to make a heart-pumping leap into the lagoon below.
